Be aware of what the company is doing, which are the main products/services, know about its history, etc.
Find out exactly the content of the offered job and be ready to compare it with your previous experience; think through some earlier situations at work that you can use as examples.
Prepare to answer typical questions:
What motivated you to apply for the given position?
What were the reasons you left the previous company?
What were your tasks at your previous position?
What are your strengths/weaknesses?
How do you see your career in the next five years?
What are your expectations for salary?
What do you do in your spare time?
When are you ready to start at the new position?
Think through how to explain your motivation to the interviewer.
Find out the place and time for the appointment beforehand; write down the data of the contact person so that you could let him/her know when something unexpected happens.
Dress accordingly.
Be there on time (better earlier than late).
Switch off your mobile phone.
Check your body language (do not fidget), do not avoid eye contact.
Listen carefully to what is asked and answer to what is asked.
If possible, answer in full sentences.
Do not vilify previous employers.
Do not stress your personal problems (loans, leases, etc.).
Be ready to ask questions from the interviewer:
Why is the given position vacant?
What do you think are the main challenges for the new employee?
When do you want the new employee to start working in your company?
When and how do the candidates receive feedback?
